Valencia
Valencia can be a city of clichés: the light, the moon, the gun-powder, the paella, the flowers, the fallas... they are keys which attempt to explain what words cannot tell. It is necessary to visit and get to know Valencia to verify that centenary traditions live together with modernity; that sea and city are compatible; that the green colour of farms can be kept together with a modern urban scheme; that Valencia is unique at night and during the day. But the capital of the river Turia is more than that. In addition to the innumerable attractions which the city has had for years, now there is a series of showy infrastructures such as the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (City of Arts and Sciences) and the Museo Príncipe Felipe (Prince Philip Museum) which, as they are located in this environment, are linked to culture. Valencia has put the icing on the cake, although it will not have a rest and will go on decorating its succulent presentation without missing the major events or a trip to the African savannah in the Bioparc.
Alacant/Alicante
By road, boat or plane. Any means of transport is suitable to get to this city called “City of light”. With more than 3,000 years of history, patent in the remains left by different civilizations, the capital of the Costa Blanca offers the most varied landscapes and the most enviable contrasts. Peñiscola
The towns location, between the Mediterranean Sea and the Sierra de Irta, gives the visitor a great variety of environments from which to choose. The old quarter of the city conserves traces of its most remote past, tied to the powerful Borgia family through Pope Benedict XIII, also known as Papa Luna, testimony to the importance of the city is manifested in the majesty of the castle-fortress. As complement and contrast to the old town, you can stroll along the promenade and along the avenues of the tourist area. All this accompanied by extensive beaches to the north and welcoming and peaceful coves that occur to the south, sheltered by the impressive Sierra de Irta.
